He has been an active member of APICS-The Association for Operations Management for 30 years where he served as President of the Educational and Research Foundation for 6 years and achieved the CFPIM certification, Certified in Production Inventory Management at the Fellow level.

He has also completed the Jonah Program at the Goldratt Institute and is a certified JONAH.
BS Finance from The Ohio State University;MBA Bowling Green State University; PhD Operations Management from The Ohio State University. Officer in US Army and Viet Nam veteran. Taught at University of Georgia before coming to Wake Forest University.
