Morning Session | Steve Burrill CEO, Burrill & CompanyBurrill & Company is a life sciences merchant bank based in San Francisco with over $400 million under management. He was involved in the start of the biotechnology revolution 35 years ago and continues to be involved in financing medical innovation. He serves on the boards of several biotechnical and biopharmaceutical companies. In 2002, he was named one of the Scientific American 50 "visionaries" by Scientific America magazine. He is a founder of the Foundation for the National Medals of Science and Technology. Prior to founding Burrill & Company in 1994, he worked 28 years with Ernst & Young directing and coordinating services to clients in the biotechnology/life sciences and high technology industries worldwide. |  | Clifton Leaf Senior Editor-at-Large, FortunePrior to joining Fortune, Leaf was executive editor of SmartMoney and held editorial positions at Fitness Magazine and Harper's Bazaar.
