| Companies submit project proposals to teams of second-year MBA students. Project teams, guided by a faculty adviser, serve as company consultants during late fall/early winter. Participating firms receive quality work on strategic plans, marketing and feasibility studies, financial analyses, operational evaluations and other projects. The process delivers results and provides you an opportunity to evaluate student performance. The summit includes the nation’s premier marketing case competition, which features teams from the world’s best MBA programs. Teams in this student-organized event have 36 hours to solve a marketing challenge presented by the sponsoring company. Recent corporate sponsors have included Yahoo!, Wachovia Securities, EchoStar, Coca-Cola, GlaxoSmithKline, Lowe’s Companies and Heineken USA. Panel discussions, presentations and other activities enhance interaction among executives, students and faculty during this exciting weekend. Through the Executive Partners Program we have developed a model that will integrate some of the finest executives in the Triad area and pair them in a one-to-one mentoring relationship with a graduate student here at the Wake Forest Schools of Business. Action Learning ProjectsIn the business world, there is no substitute for hands-on experience. Given this, our MA in Management students are required to complete several Action Learning Projects in parallel to their studies. The purpose of these projects is to create value for the sponsoring organizations while at the same time providing students with the opportunity to apply and reinforce course material utiziling data from an actual organization.
