Future Focus 2020 ™, was founded in 1996 at Wake Forest University as a non-profit think tank dedicated to providing leadership in bringing futurist thinking to the fore within urban and minority communities.   In 2000, Future Focus 2020 ™ became a research center at the Schools of Business that examines the social, technological, economic, environmental and political issues that are shaping the future of urban America, with an emphasis on the world of business.

Future Focus was founded by Nat Irvin, a professor at the Schools of Business who recently moved to the University of Louisville College of Business.
