Life as a student
The Wake Forest University Schools of Business is a close-knit community where personal and career development are equal parts of the equation. Extracurricular activities and the life of a student are vital to the growth process. Student-run clubs and organizations range in interests from accounting to sports management to wine education. There are also clubs associated with career interests and recreational activities. There is even a club for spouses, partners and significant others of graduate business students.
Compete against the best
The Wake Forest Marketing Summit includes the nation’s premier marketing case competition, which features teams from the world’s best business programs. Teams in this student-organized event have 36 hours to solve a marketing challenge presented by the sponsoring company. Recent corporate sponsors have included Hanesbrands, VF Corporation, IBM, Yahoo!, Wachovia Securities, EchoStar, Coca-Cola, GlaxoSmithKline, Lowe’s Companies and Heineken USA. Panel discussions, presentations and other activities enhance interaction among executives, students and faculty during this exciting weekend.
The Wake Forest "Retail Innovation Challenge" Elevator Competition allows 20 student teams from schools around the world to pitch retail innovation ideas to industry executives while literally riding in an elevator. Students will also have the opportunity network with executives from major industry players throughout the Retail 2020 Conference. This is a place where the world’s best corporate retail innovators meet the world’s best student innovators.
