As associate dean for executive education, Dr. Middaugh is responsible for the development, oversight and management of all non-degree (executive education) programs offered through our Institute for Executive Education (IEE). He has worked collaboratively with professional organizations such as EFMD (EQUIS), GMAC and AACSB. Prior to joining the Babcock School, Dr. Middaugh taught in the MBA and Ph.D. programs at the University of Virginia and at the undergraduate level at Ohio State University where he won numerous awards for his teaching. He was responsible for the development and direction of the first general management program for Soviet enterprise managers to be offered in the United States. He was the recipient of the first Sara Lee Award for Excellence for his teaching and involvement in the Soviet management program.
Dr. Middaugh was a principal developer of the Law Practice Management Program for the Toledo 8 law firm consortium and Stephens University -- a custom-designed development program offered to financial consultants at Stephens, Inc., an investment bank headquartered in Little Rock, AR. He previously worked for two major national accounting firms. He has been a consultant to a wide variety of domestic and multi-national clients and a number of Fortune 500 companies including: IBM, Lowe's Company, Digital Equipment Corporation, Duke Energy, CSX Corporation, Armstrong World Industries, Ernst & Young, Amtrak, U.S. Postal Service, U.S. Civil Service Commission, Sara Lee Corporation, RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company, Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, Wachovia Corporation, and other major corporations. He is a member of the American Accounting Association and the Decision Sciences Institute.
